February 22 was their big day: the lion cubs born in november 2011 at Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam were finally allowed to play outside for the first time. The twin cubs are brother and sister and are not named yet. It was a whole adventure for the young lions to put their first steps outside today after a period of relative rest. They were supported by their mother who guided the cubs through it. In the near future they will meet their father and some aunts as well.
